For Mother’s Day, I was excited to support the Mother of All Races 10k — hosted by Run Raleigh Races — We ended up having four RunBuds attend: Gloria, Robin, Tracy, and me! My boys ended up coming out to the race start on their way to a birthday party and I was surprised when I saw them on my way out of the gate. I ended up getting lost along the way so I sort of expected that Scott would have gotten lost too. My fears were unfounded, and they were there to cheer me on! Gloria decided along the way that she was going to do the 5k instead of the 10k so when the course split, she headed left instead of right. Then at the finish when they started to call her race number, she realized that they thought she had podium finished the 10k! Whoops!
Later in the month, Robin, Cecilia, and I completed the NCRC Classic Half Marathon in Umstead — it was a challenging race, but we did it! It is always so pretty running in Umstead and the hills are humbling. This race was number two in the triple crown race series.
