Nothing like starting 2015 off with a bang. We did the Resolve to Run fun run at Tir Na Nog on the first which is always a fun time. They had a lovely breakfast buffet afterwards so I even got to eat my black eyed peas as per tradition on the first of the year. That weekend, I convinced Leslie and Crystal to join me at the Lifetime Fitness Six Forks location for their indoor triathlon. It was a very low stress — 10 minute swim, 10 minute transition, 30 minute cycle, 5 minute transition, and 20 minute treadmill run. Crystal and Leslie both did an AWESOME job. I had run 15 miles the day before #marathontraining so I wasn’t really killing it on the treadmill, but I did manage to get ALMOST 2 miles in. It was a great workout. Maybe the next time, I’ll actually swim a few times before attempting it again.
