The theme for the Year of the Fun run for July was Chess! The game of chess starts with sixteen pieces for each side and there are sixteen pawns. I thought this one would be fun because they have a huge chess board with Durham themed pieces at the Tobacco District downtown. So we met there and went for a run on the American Tobacco Trail.
The second session of book club met at the West End Wine Bar to discuss The Nightingale. The French setting of the book made wine and cheese sound appropriate.
